Picture Blog Update

As I’ve posted about before, I started a picture blog when Jim deployed. I’ve decided to merge it with this blog and the family blog (entries will be posted to both blogs). I wasn’t keeping it up to date as well as I wanted (this one either, I know!). So having one less place to go to post, I hope, will make me feel less overwhelmed and encourage more postings.

I have the bulk of the entries imported already. You can find them here (you’ll have to open each post to see the pictures).

The main category for the pictures is ‘This Side of Deployment’.

Countdown

When Jim & Wendy planned their trip out, I started talking to Elizabeth about it.  It was too far out for her to understand, so I tried to think of a way to help her visualize.  It was about 40 days when I figured out a way–we traced each of our hands and feet and, each day, she tears one off.   Not much longer!

Monsters and Trucks

1) Facing a busy street, Ben spends much of his day looking at the traffic, especially the trucks and construction equipment.  He’s checking out the bakery truck in this picture.

2) I got these adorable monster diaper-cover pants the other day.
