boy! He’s measuring about 8 ounces. They weren’t able to get a good view of the spine, so I have to go back for a repeat ultrasound. Since we only get one with the military, it’ll be nice to get a second peek. 
The tech tried not to stay too long when she was identifying the sex but she was training a new tech, so she had to pause a bit. I had a hunch that what I was looking at was what I thought it was.
They moved my due date from December 30 to January 20. That more closely aligns with what we thought. Jim was in the middle of a two-week stint in the field when a Dec 30 conception would have occurred. 
We have three names on our list. I have my favorite and have been calling the babe by it. Hoping it soon becomes Jim’s favorite too. My stepdad was sure it was a boy from the getgo and has always called him Sampson. I tried to talk Jim into putting that name on the list but he declined. LOL
Elizabeth cried & cried when we told her. She wanted a girl, evidently. The past two days she has been saying that I have a kite in my belly. I’d love to know where she got that!
My ultrasound pictures are posted here. Since we waited to find out the sex, we have no pictures showing proof. Cory, do you think Sampson will look like me again? You were spot on about E last time!

Deidra wanted girls too when we were getting the fosterkids and she is head over heels with the boys now. Your baby boy sure is cute!!

YEAH! We were just doing some baby shower shopping for one of Mel’s cousins and discovered pee-pee teepees. They amused Mel, but we couldn’t get them for the cousin because they’re going for the surprise factor. We’ll send you a set.

ps. a quick hint on diaper changing a boy… before you take off the old diaper, blow on his penis and then cover quickly… the cold air always made my boys go again before i finished changing them!

We considered Sampson (without the p - Samson) for our little Sam, but ended up settling on Samuel. Although we still call him Samson sometimes. Well, okay, actually I call him Samsonite, lol! hehee
And, I’m trying to remember E’s ultrasound from memory, but I feel like this little guy’s profile looks a little different! Possibly Jim’s mini-me? hehe Then you will each have one! How adorable. Congrats again…how’ve you been feeling, btw?
