We had our ultrasound yesterday! My mom drove back from IN with us so she and Elizabeth accompanied me.
I am measuring about 3.5 weeks behind what my LMP predicted, which is about what I thought. So my due date is January 20 instead of December 30. The baby’s mouth was moving every time they went by it—just like Elizabeth’s was. There wasn’t much movement but we did see the heart beating well. The heart rate was a little low but not still within normal. Two hands, two arms. They couldn’t get a clear image of the spine, so I may have to go back so they can check again that everything closed up (spina bifida concerns).

you’ll have to check back this weekend for the results. 
I had the tech write it down. Jim & I will open it this weekend when he’s home from school. No pictures will be posted until the father sees them either.

Glad to hear the baby is doing okay. And that your mom’s hanging with you for awhile. My mom said, “tricia was just very tricia” about seeing you last week. Like you’d have become some other person as an adult.

But I can absolutely understand ~ how neat it’ll be to open that letter with Jim and to see the pictures together! Yay! I’m so excited for you. How have you been feeling lately? With a low heartrate … hmm, maybe it’s a boy? 
That’s my guess! Seems like lots of people have been having “one of each” lately!

I’m glad you were able to get happy baby news in the midst of sadder family times. And I’m sure it’s a blessing for your mother as well.
