Last night we dropped Jim off for ranger school. As we were pulling away, E was crying to turn back around to get Jim.
I said we couldn’t b/c he had to stay at school. Through her tears she asked “da no come ‘cuz he no like to ride in my car with me?” Oh, how that made me tear up! I reassured her that her daddy DOES like to be in the car with her, he just has to stay a school.
This will be the longest she’s gone without seeing him since last December. His last two schools he was home every weekend. Now she’s just that much more aware of him being home/not home.

Sorry that Elizabeth is having such a rough time having her daddy gone. My Jim was gone for most of 2005 but was home on weekends. Jim is not gone as much now but Cassidy is never happy when her daddy is not home to tuck her in. Hope things get better and that the two of you are able to enjoy your girl time.
