What a…uhhh….interesting life you lead

Reverand Alden passed away two weeks ago.  I loved Little House on the Prairie and wanted to worship in his congregation.  Tom Poston, handyman George Utley on Newhart, passed away recently also.   It a weird feeling to see TV characters die.

We got a new GPS this week.  I am thrilled with it so far.  I’m going to Atlanta for a couple days next week before we fly to FL to see Jim’s parents.  So I’ll be putting it to the test when I’m there.

I have a free one-month trial code for Netflix.  It expires at the end of June.  If anyone is interested in it, e-mail me and I’ll send you the code.

We went to Andersonville yesterday.  It was really interesting.  And moving.  It made me realize how little I knew about the events surrounding it.  I put two books about it on hold at the library.

I’m in a fit with Best Buy right now.  One of their employees misrepresented (lied??) about what their product replacement plan covered and now that we need to use the PRP, they won’t cover it.  I’ve moved beyond being irritated about the PRP and am now irritated about how they’ve handled it.  I’m not stopping yet!!

I’ve been trying to write this post for four days.  Its taken me that long to get this far.  My life suddenly seems incredibly boring!! LOL

I can’t say I’m thrilled with the winners of Amazing Race: All-Stars.  I was mostly rooting for anyone but Mirna but, having my choice, I would have preferred the Beauty Queens to win over the “couple” who weren’t even really a couple.

Okay, I’m giving up on an interesting post.  Maybe I’ll come back later today with more to say.  LOL

even with nothing to say, it’s good to see a post from you. :) Glad your life is boring… enjoy it.

I’m with you. I wanted the Beauty Queens or Oswald and Danny to win — not Danielle and Eric. Actually my first choice was Rob and Amber but they went out WAY too early. Wonder what next season will be like. Hope there are people worth cheering for on it.

And the person I wanted to win Survivor didn’t win either! At least a KC native did.

I am *so* sad to hear about those two passing away. I loved the reverend, too! And … my cousin Linda (who lives in L.A.) actually hung out with Tom Poston at the Oscars a few years ago! How cool is that?

Tricia, RE: Best Buy… threaten to go to their Corp. Headquarters with your complaints. Go to the service desk, very calmly and rationally with your issues. When they won’t help you, say, Oh, okay, that’s fine…can I please have the number to your Corp. HQ please? They will bend over backwards to help you. That happened to Jim and I, and they took care of everything we needed.
See, stores don’t want you to give complaints directly to their Corp HQ, because the store gets fined, and it comes directly out of the store manager’s pocket. So they will pretty much try to do whatever they can to resolve problems in the store. I hope that helps!
