Last summer I posted about the sweetest sound (DD finally saying ‘ma’). But I was wrong, that wasn’t the sweetest sound. This weekend I got lu-you. Yes, I got a LOVE YOU! Oh my. The tears came tumbling out. We have worked so hard on DD’s speech apraxia that every word is amazing. And she’s had a language explosion the past two weeks. But nothing prepared me for that first love you. And unprompted at that. She has her next appointment on Tuesday and I can’t wait for her therapist to hear all the new words.
Her other favorite new expression is ‘oh ma/dad’ when we do something like forget something or drop something. She does it complete with a cocked head, lets out a bit of a sigh and does a whole shoulder shrug. LOL Its rather amusing. But I told Jim it wouldn’t be so amusing in 10 years when its, accompanied by a roll of the eyes and a sigh. HA.
Oh. My. Goodness. I totally *love* this new layout! I think that I’ll steal it for my own use sometime, LOL!
TOO NEAT about E. saying “Ma.” I cannot *wait* until Lucas does that!!!
I also like the new layout. It is so colorful and fresh. How exciting about the new words. Sounds like Elizabeth will be talking your ear off before long.
Thanks. The new layout was just what I was wanting–something fresh looking but not overly summery. I’m itching for spring!!
I still have some tweaking I’d like to do to it.
Amy–Is something wrong with the comments on your blog? I go in, write & submit, it shows but then doesn’t actually “stay put”. I’m beginning to feel paranoid!!
Sweet about E saying Love you. Yah, the eye rolls are coming, with the big sigh. You are so smart right now. Then they become teenagers and you suddenly become the dumbest person in America… and THEY have to deal with YOU! HA! Good luck with that! lol
