Life’s a Dance

We’re back from Indiana and I feel SO refreshed!!  We really had a great visit.  And I got SLEEP!!  Each morning, when E would be up around 6, I would nurse her in bed and then my mom would come get her.  Most mornings I fell back asleep until my mom came in an hour or so later for me to nurse E.  Then we’d both snooze for an hour or so.  I got eight or more hours almost every night!!!  Now, if it had been in one stretch, I’d be even happier.  Still, eight or more hours of sleep is huge!

We spent a lot of time on the road–going to see Jim’s parents, going up to Greenwood to see my Dad, up to Indy to see my sister, back to Columbus to my Mom’s.  A little less time driving around would be nice but such is the way it goes.  What matters is that we have so many people who want to see us when we’re home.

Did some shopping for summer & fall clothes for E.  Hit a couple Once Upon a Child stores and a HUGE baby sale at a church near my sister’s house.  Also hit Kohl’s, JCPenney’s & Carter’s Outlet (20% off coupon good on sale & clearance merchandise–wooohooo!).  The OUaC prices were higher than at the OUaC near me so I didn’t get much.  Though, at one of the stores, they were having a 70% off clearance sale.  Between the two stores, I got about $100 worth of clothes, books in perfect condition and toys stilll in their factory-sealed boxes for $32.48!!  I did equally well at the baby sale at the church.  I also found good deals at the “regular” stores.  I think E is set for summer and some for the fall.  If she finally decides to grow out of 0-3 & 3-6 month clothing (after all, she IS almost seven months old now! LOL), I might have to buy a few more summer things.

Definitely a good trip home.  And a much needed one.  In the 24 hours I’ve been home, I’ve had three people tell me I was looking very tired before my trip & two people tell me I was starting to get a bit bitchy (said with love! LOL).  Guess I wasn’t holding it all in as well as I thought!!!

Amy–Again, Welcome back.  It sounds like your trip was much needed and that you thoroughly enjoyed it.  Glad you had such a good time.
