Life’s a Dance

has passed since we welcomed our daughter into the world. It’s an incredible thought. It has been the best 2/3 year of my life but it also makes me so sad that we have just 1/3 of a year left until she’s ONE! This past month has been a busy one…literally! She has reached the advanced level of crawling, so we’re always on the go! So much so, in fact, that she’s lost five ounces in two weeks!! We’ve also mastered pulling up and throwing tantrums (so far just two “big” ones…heaven help me when she’s three!! LOL) Deep belly laughs are pretty frequent now. She’s always been a giggler & a throat laugher but the belly layghs are new. And I LOVE ‘em!

Every day since she was born I’ve thought “I’m going to remember THIS __________” forever. And I’ve really tried. Yet I now look at babies just a few months old and can hardly remember what she was like then. And that makes me so sad. It isn’t like I feel like I don’t spend enough time with her or anything like that…those days just seem so very far away.

Lisanne–That’s what everyone has been telling us when they meet Lucas! That they “swear that they can’t remember when their child was that little!” hehe I can’t wait until Lucas giggles! I can’t believe that he’s past two months now.

Amy–I know how you feel when you say it goes so fast. I am in the process of dismantling the nursery that Jim and I painstakingly put together for Nicholas almost 5 1/2 years ago and I am just not ready. But Cassidy is ready for a big girl room complete with bed so it is time. Enjoy your last third of a year. At each developmental stage I almost always think, I like this one best.
