I'm a child of the 21st century! Still a new life in this world and I already have a web page!! Hopefully Mama will be good at keeping this updated so you can watch me grow!
December 1--Today was my two-month check up! I am up to 10 pounds 13 ounces! I had to get three shots. The nurses tag-teamed me and got me in both legs at the same time. :( And then I still had to get one more shot!! I cried a lot but then Mama cuddled me. I slept all afternoon from the shots. I woke up cranky, though. I finally stopped fussing when Mama put me in the bathtub, so we had a long bath tonight! Daddy called during bath to see how my appointment went and I talked to him. And I cried so he could hear what Mama had been hearing all evening. :) After we talked to him, we went back to the bath and stayed there until my bedtime.
Keep my daddy in your prayers, please.
November 30--I spent time alone with someone other than family tonight. Mama had a volunteer appreciation dinner to attend and I stayed with Catherine (the daughter of a friend of Mama's supervisor) in the next room. I liked her. We talked to each other, played on the floor and ate. I was happy to see Mama come get me though.
Keep my daddy in your prayers, please.
November 17--Mama & I are on our own now! Slowly we're adjusting. I'm keeping her on her toes!! We booked our flights to Indiana today. I can't wait to meet the rest of my family!! Mama hopes it snows. But she said that means it will be cold & I'll have to wear plenty of clothes, so I'm not so sure about snow!
Keep my daddy in your prayers, please.
November 9--Another round of visitors, another round of gifts, love and being told I'm cute! We had a really good time with Grandpa Ron and Grandma Annie. Friday we mostly hung around our house. Saturday we went into Seattle again. I got to take my first bus ride and first boat ride! We took a locks tour of Seattle. I mostly slept through it but everyone else enjoyed it. Mama forgot her military ID, though, and Daddy had to drop her and Grandpa Ron at the 7-11 when we got back while he ran onto base to get it for her. Sunday we went to a Christmas craft bazaar where all the ladies working at the booths gushed all over me. :) Monday we again mostly had a quiet day around the house ending with a dinner at Outback Steakhouse. Again, I slept through it but everyone else enjoyed it.
The rest of this week will be a quiet one I'm told. Daddy leaves for Iraq this weekend so Mama says we'll spend the week just the three of us. Keep my daddy in your prayers, please.
November 5--I outgrew my first preemie-size outfit! The others still fit me but they are a bit restrictive for my kicking, so I hope I grow out of them soon. But Mama doesn't! She cried because I've outgrown my first outfit.
November 2--My first election day!! Mama and I started watching election coverage during my 5am feeding this morning and she says we'll watch it more later today. She's also taking me with her to vote!
Grandma Wanda, Angie & Andy came to visit me. We had a lot of fun. Thursday morning Grandma watched me (my first time being watched by someone other than my parents) while Mama ran some errands. Then we waited for Angie and Andy. The rest of the evening we spent at our house. Friday we went into Seattle. It was my first trip! We went to Pike's Place Market, lunch at Red Robin on the waterfront and rode a trolley into Chinatown. I can't wait until Christmas to see them again. This Thursday my Grandpa Ron & Grandma Annie come!
October 5--Our first night at home went well. I slept for almost five hours which made Mama happy.
hours!! We went on our first outing today--I had to get registered into the military's system. Mama was glad to get out since she hadn't seen anything but the hospital and our house for almost a week. Tomorrow I go to my first doctor's appointment. All of my clothes are way too big for me so Daddy had to go out and buy me a couple preemie-size outfits. They are still big but not as much.
